Bundaberg Central State School, established in 1875, is in the heart of Bundaberg City. It is set within an environment of shady trees and a big beautiful oval for outdoor play and sports. We are a proud school with a wealth of local history and quality learning.
Our school motto is “Only Your Best”: Our students strive to perform at the highest ability. The school has committed staff working with modern facilities to provide relevant and stimulating curriculum (Australian Curriculum). Students work in a safe, tolerant and disciplined learning environment.
Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe and Make an effort are our school’s four School Wide Positive Behaviour expectations. We believe educating the students is a partnership between family and school. Parents are encouraged to be a part of the school through volunteering.
In the pursuit of excellence, students are expected to apply full effort as they develop literacy and numeracy skills. In 2014, students have started to study geography after starting history last year. Specialist teachers come to the school for Japanese , physical education and music. The school choir is practicing.
When our students leave Bundaberg Central Sate School, they leave with confidence, skills and abilities that allow them to contribute as valuable citizens of a global community, have a healthy respect for themselves and others and a drive to make a difference to their community and world.
We are here to nurture and develop our most precious assets so they can be successful in the future.
